Coffee Party USA is pleased to announce that we will be kicking off a series of monthly events to engage our members and supporters. It is our intent that these events will also serve as a catalyst for growth and activities at the local level as well.
The first event in January will be focused on Ralph Nader’s recent book Unstoppable - The Emerging Left-Right Alliance to Dismantle the Corporate State.
Our goal is to use the book as a means of generating specific action steps we can take to meet our goals of campaign finance reform, reversing Citizens United and bringing civility and reason back to our political arena.
We will be hosting a special Coffee Party radio broadcast on Monday, January 26, 2015 at 8:30pm ET. We are encouraging the submission of ideas and questions about the book to be discussed on the program. We will also be announcing a petition to call for reversing the Citizens United ruling through an amendment to the constitution.
We would love for you to get involved with this project, perhaps even use it as a means to engage your community. For example, you could use it for a local book discussion group in early January to submit ideas and questions for the radio program. Or, you could meet after the airing of the program to talk about ideas you can do locally to meet our to forward Coffee Party goals on Campaign Finance Reform.
