I hope this note finds you, your family, and friends safe and well.
Today I greet you as the new president of Coffee Party USA. I just wanted to say hello, introduce myself, and encourage your participation in our plan to get ready for the election in November.
About Me: I have served on the board since January 1, 2012. During that time I have been Secretary, Treasurer, Vice President, and now President. Some would question my sanity!
I’m 68, married, have a cat and a dog, adult kids, grand kids and a mortgage. I’m a retired business owner and my husband is a retired university professor. I’m a long-time activist for social justice, first inspired by Dr. King and the civil rights movement, the Vietnam Conflict, solution-oriented environmentalism and women’s rights. It’s been a long road. These days my public health education has me in the fray with regard to informed pandemic management and the American health care dilemma.

About Coffee Party USA:Â Election Day is just four months away. In order to make progress toward our core goals of Campaign Finance Reform, Tax Code Reform and Wall Street Reform, we are focusing on all things relevant to voting: voter registration; voter access; voter suppression; voter ID; voter rights; voter safety during the pandemic; and celebration of the 100th anniversary of the 19th amendment giving women the right to vote. We and our partner organizations have high hopes for our pro-voting efforts. Stay tuned for details!
It is my pleasure to meet you all, and Coffee Party ON!
President of the Board of Directors
