Yet in my opinion, All the regulations and restrictions proposed by the Federal Government will only accomplish two things. 1) Restricting individuals ability to legally obtain guns and/or ammunition will only bring rise to an illicit black market for these items just like Prohibition and The War on Drugs. We will then be required to supplement law enforcement, border patrol and customs…like the DEA, Marshal Service and ATF do not have big enough problems with being undermanned and underfunded not to mention being outgunned by the Drug Cartels and Slave Traders already encroaching our borders. 2) The law abiding citizens of this Nation will be required to consent to any new regulatory laws passed through our Nations Capitol yet those individuals possessing illegally obtained weapons not conforming to these regulations will never readily nor voluntarily relinquish them. This also will require ever increasing funding and manpower of law enforcement and government agencies…as if our National Debt is not already out of control. We as a populace elected each and every one of you to the posts which you presently occupy So, I say have at it Washington!…but be prepared to pay the prices!..both monetarily and in your future aspirations and endeavors as Elected Officials.
