Uggh, I don’t know where these people still think there’s a loophole at gun shows. I don’t know about ALL states. I haven’t checked. But I’m venturing to guess, that, in at least all the states where you have to have a permit to purchase, you have to show it at the gun shows as well. The reason they don’t do a background check at the gun shows, is because they don’t operate across state lines. Each state has their own laws/regs. SO.. if you live in a state where you have to have a permit to purchase, it means you already HAD a background check done on you, so they don’t HAVE to…all they need to SEE, is you permit to purchase……which you have to renew every year, by getting another background check done on you at your local police dept.

If you live in a state that DOESN’T require a permit to purchase…well….then there’s STILL no loophole because they follow the same laws that everyone else in that state does.
