I don't understand why his approval ratings are so low. People need to give him a break and leave Obama alone. He is trying to rebuild the country that the fascist, racist republican war criminals destroyed. Not only that but he is also trying to rebuild and save the world. I think he is one of the greatest presidents ever. Does anyone else agree? I know I'll be voting for him in 2012!
Yes we can, yes we did, and yes we will...
Say it loud, say it proud, "Obama is a great President." I don't know if he's the absolute best President ever (we need to wait to the end of his turn to fairly decide that), but he is a damn fine one so far. Its like you hand the man a big pile of dog doo-doo and expecgt him to fix it over night. He is a genius, for sure, but he's not a magician. He needs cooperation from the People and from the "other side" if we expect his solutions to come to fruition. Repugs and others stop him every step along the way and then complain that he doesn't "do anything right." Let the man do something, and then we'll see!
You don't belong here
You are full of hate. You don't belong in civil society.
Exactly who is the "you" you're saying is full of hate?
And thanks for the civility, hankg.
I'M BA.A.ACK
Yeah-ya. But don't get too comfy, I won't be here long.
I just stopped by to give a shout out and ah WHO RAH on the signing of the new arms treaty with Russia. But it will require 67 Senate votes for passage of the treaty, according to news sources . . .
I guess that means we better get out there and start twisting some a them repelican arms . . . ha-ha . . .
Did you know it was a man named Edmund Burke who said:
is that good men do nothing.
Lets just kill that do nothing party. It's useless, it's worse than useless, for they do nothing - and we pay them for it.
...
What'd you get banned for?
Being annoying?
I believe the straw that
I believe the straw that broke that proverbial camel was what must have appeared to be a completely deliberate attack on The Coffee Party Blogger - I was attempting to do too many things at once it seems.
In burying 12 threads by one americanfreedom I crafted a short bit of language - it was truncated somehow in one of 12 windows I had open at the time -
no doubt the appearance of the same message in twelve [or possibly more, I can't recall now] threads was cause enough I'm sure, not to mention the text itself read in part: kiss the butterflies / and free my ass . . . it was an alternative to an older saying of mine, one I would like to make into a tee shirt one of these days: free the butterflies / and kiss my ass - the term butterflies comes from an album Fear by Toad The Wet Sprocket.
You may also think of the term as having arisen from Chaos Theory, and experiments conducted within the social setting, where the subjects are Human . . . until they fly
Julie was a Butterfly . . .
No doubt, one way or the other, we are all butterflies
Any more questions . . .?
Another Question?
How about this? Will you keep coming back every time you get banned?
Does anyone else agree?
No, that is crazy. George Washington set the principle of the federal government enforcing federal taxes. Lincoln whipped the crazy southerners into line. FDR united with Russia and China to lay the foundation of the new world order. Clinton is one of the few who left with a surplus.
While Obama is good, and he was left with a lot of problems to handle by bungling republicans, it is a touch insane to say he is the best president ever.
He is the best president ever
He is the best president ever because he has made every mistake ever possible which will clean house and make the way for the real change this country has needed and couldn't get without Obama drawing all the blood to wake people up!!!!!! Now they know, and they won't stand for losing all their freedoms that we've known for generations and came to this country for!!
Good President
Haven't been on to post in awhile..... for I felt this site was getting to be taken over from aliens from planet moron, Thought I would jump on a new thread and found this one interesting, I feel strongly when history is put to paper Obama will go down as a controversal president..... but one that will be admired, respected, and remembered for many great things. Sadly, because of the economy and slow results on the job market, people are frustrated and always take it out on the president, the problem is that the jobs are all overseas and until people hit rock bottom and literally have nothing left, will they then..... think about supporting American products and services.
Hey Drob, are we clones?
Sorry to burst your assumption but, we are different people. When I first checked this site it seemed like it was mostly left thinking statements, it is largely, but there are some persons on here that seem very thoughtful in wanting to have meaningful discussions on solving this nations problems. Probably very similar to our nations beginnings, people discussing the kind of government that they thought would give the people the most liberty and freedom. It is not disinformation that S.S. and Medicare are $107 Trillion in debt with unfunded liabilities, and many believe the health care bill will suffer the same fate as well. It is very easy to look compassionate with programs but in reality the debt that comes due will eventually hurt us. See my post on unfunded mandates on the topic, "Can someone please tell me what this party stands for?" When future citizens finally have to face the fact of this tremendous debt they will have to make drastic cuts in government programs, some of which are necessary to run our basic government, just to pay the interest on the debt.
Good Thoughts
Patrick,
Do we truely have an understanding of the debt in this country how it works and where it has been in the past? I put together a quick analysis of Gov. spending through the 20th and 21st century so far and what I see seems to be business as usual, you can find this in the forums under Economy, it's titled: Is the government on a spending spree??? I would love to get your input on it.
Business as Usual or spending spree
I've seen your analysis of Gov. spending as a percentage of the GNP during WW1 & WW11. Even though we're at war I don't believe it compares to the full mobilization we required then. I believe it is business as usual, not the "change" President Obama campaigned on, but also a spending spree on top of the past debt. Instead of tackling S.S. and Medicare, getting the economy going with "shovel ready" employment, etc., he is spending "Trillions", taking $500 from Medicare, raising another $500 million is new taxes, pushed through a new unsustainable Health Bill which will be in the Trillions, pork spending, supports Amnesty while unemployment is at record levels, Bailouts and stimulus, etc.... The taxes needed to pay just the interest on this will cripple our country on financing existing government programs, hardly compassionate. Why he is doing this? Your guess is as good as mine.........
Why is Obama destroying America?
What a great question, Patrick Henry. Surely, reasonable Coffee Party people can get together with their brothers and sisters of Tea Party and reach a consensus.
Clones?
Patrick -
I am personally not a clone. And, I am not sure about center - left or right. I have conservative views: There is no free lunch. The environment is what supports our life on this planet and should be protected. All actions have consequences and the sooner we learn this the happier our life will be.
But, I also have other views: War is a last resort and our large standing military is draining the country of valuable resources. Education is to be valued as providing human capital that makes our country stronger and the world a better place. Our elected officials should enjoy no benefits that are not available to the general citizenry. Handguns are stupid (guns have a utility and are tools, so hunting weapons are good but automatic weapons are for paranoid fools who are willing to shoot their fellow citizens) and if you want to target practice an air gun should be good enough. I believe in life time incarceration without parole over the death penalty.
I support education, a single payer health care system (because it is the most cost effective and efficient), a draft (or manditory public service - 2 years would be good) in order to earn the right to vote and to keep the military tied to the general populus. I believe we should have an equatable tax system that does not promote an ever increasing disparity between the rich and everyone else (go ahead and call this income redistribution, but after WWII the top tax rate was 90%).
I don't know if this represents the Coffee Party - but I do feel I am allowed to express my views without being shouted down or driven out. So here I am.
Clones?
I agree with everything you said. The only part I don't understand is why you call yourself a conservative. Perhaps there is something really wrong with the "two-party" system. It seems to me that it immediately divides people--before they even begin a conversation.
Excellent
Although I do have reservations about mandatory service, I generally love and agree with what you've said.
Clones......
TJ-
Expressing ones views is your basic right and it's good to see people engaged in thoughts about our government.
I think an all volunteer military is better than a draft because the people that join want to be there as opposed to having to join, unless of course there are not enough volunteers. You're probably thinking of extended duty for reservists. I sort of like your idea of public service to instill responsibilty and duty to country, not sure of mandatory though, but I believe anyone that comes to our country Legally and wants to become an American Citizen, should be required to serve this country for 2 years. Mainly I believe we have to follow our Constitution to maintain our Liberty and freedom, chipping away with some rights leads to more losses of rights and sets precedents. Now, I own a handgun, as well as several other weapons, I am law abiding, others that are not may want to harm me, and as a law-abiding citizen I have a Constitutional right to be able to defend myself. And where does one draw the line on what is "banned?" In Wis. deer season there are 200,000 armed hunters in the woods, and nobody is shooting anyone, and very few accidents. Also, the 2nd. Amendment is not about hunting. Some people that want to ban the death penalty because they believe they do not have the right to take another life, also believe that abortion is ok, but I am not a one-issue guy.
If by an equitable tax you mean a fair or flat tax, I agree, what would be fairer than everyone paying the same percentage of income? (except the very poor and we do have programs, Medicaid, no income tax, etc. for them.) People at the bottom end may well end up on the top end of income some day, why should they pay a higher percentage, like they would now? How fair is that and where and who draws the line? I also would like to see a balanced-budget amendment to stop lawmakers from ever increasing taxes and debt. Don't hold your breath. Lawmakers also should have to live with the same laws they create for the "rest of us." Education more at a state and local level than a Federal Government curriculum with policies not related to education and political. Health care could be affordable with policy changes such as tort reform, no free health care to Illegals,(unless an emergency) and some other bi-partisan policies agreed to just to pass it, not rammed through for "the good of all" or become like Medicare and S.S. which are tremendously in debt and can't be ignored forever. (There are other ways, I discussed this in another post.)
Our Constitution was very well thought out to protect the rights and Liberty of Americans and pertain to today as then. The Founders made adding amendments a difficult process just for that reason, and guarantying our Bill of Rights that safeguards us from Government.
p.s. Someone suggested me and drob were one and the same, thus the clone remark.
TJinBoulderUT - Excellent letter! Thank you for ...
I'm with you as you describe yourself in your post. I only wish that I had written it. I'm serious, I thought your letter was outstanding. Let me add that I especially liked your statement, "I support education, a single payer health care system (because it is the most cost effective and efficient), a draft (or manditory public service - 2 years would be good) in order to earn the right to vote and to keep the military tied to the general populus. I believe we should have an equatable tax system that does not promote an ever increasing disparity between the rich and everyone else (go ahead and call this income redistribution, but after WWII the top tax rate was 90%)."
Your statement that "..our large standing military is draining the country of valuable resources. I believe in life time incarceration without parole over the death penalty." also bears repeating.
Thank you, once again, for your contribution. --Abel

Here , here b c . We voted
Here , here b c . We voted for Obama knowing he was the best man for the job and we were right . The dems are fighters and we fight to win using our minds and our love for America . When this nation wanted civil rights for all , Johnson said " make me do it " He was telling America, show me how much you want it , leave me no room to ignore you , help me help you . That's where Obama is . He is saying , " here is my vision for a better America , help me pull it across the line , jump in and grab the rope and help " . We elected him to represent us and now we have to do the same . We have to say , " Mr President we are with you " . The tb-ers will get some new red meat soon and the lie machine will be running again . Lets stay on pourpose and help Annabel get a good sense of what we feel is most important . Don't let the tb people here distract you into defending your views . Its just Gop distraction .Saying good things about oObama is like pouring holy water on them so keep it up .

Love your last line! One can almost see them start to smolder and steam, and then start to shrink, crying "I'm melting....."
Getting to know the President better
I said somewhere earlier in this thread that I had finally picked up "The Audacity of Hope". I'm about 3/4 finished and so far think it should have been titled, "Can you See what I See?" It is a good read and informative, but doesn't give a clear vision of how Obama supporters should help change our country. It does describe "the situation" in many instances. Maybe the conclusion holds the answers but I haven't quite seen them in the rest of the book.
Best president ever...well, we'll see if the Coffee Party can help make him the best president ever. It takes hope, vision, and motivation to achieve change we can believe in and I think our president is probably hoping for some backup along the way.
I love this forum too
I keep returning to the 'Obama is the best president ever' forum. I just can't get over the irony that it was started by a troll, yet has developed into some serious discussion. Great comments supporting Obama and the (largely unnecessary) challenges he's been forced to face, with surprising success; and typically inane burp-'n-fart level mockery, with an occasional valid criticism.
Hey, if I'm biased toward Obama, he and George W. Bush made me that way...
And yes, Rush Limbaugh is indeed a drug-addled, overpaid, fat-assed, big-mouthed, sorry excuse for a goat.
Officially appalled at the lack of civility
in your post BUT currently watching Fahrenheit 9/11 again to remind myself of why we can never go back!
Remembering what our country has survived in the last 10 years and just looking at the faces of those who dragged us there again refreshes my memory. I can recall why Obama looked and sounded so good to me in 2008. He sounded so intelligent, so sure in his speech declaring that we could change this. Let's not forget what he's fighting for, where we've been as a nation, and what he and his administration are trying to lead us out of. It takes some faith to turn from complete cynicism and disillusionment. That's where I've been for 4 year as I watched America knowingly vote Bush back into office. What a sad era it was. TGIO (Thank God it's Over).
Fahrenheit 9/11 contains HUGE
Fahrenheit 9/11 contains HUGE amounts of fiction, insinuations, speculation and spin. It was made with an agenda in mind - to trash the Bush administration. I sincerely hope you are not considering it to be an accurate depiction of the events before, during and after 9/11, because it is NOT.
REAlly?
Do you honestly believe that any movie could possibly trash President Bush any more than the policies of Dick Cheney possibly
could- did?Should we enumerate them?
Or just point out his consorting with thieves - who conveniently have heart attacks on the eve of prosecution . . .
Really?
By now, anyone who continues to defend the Bush Administration, (especially Cheney, Rumsfeldt, and Carl Rove) after it finished off the 40-year plan to erode the middle class, is surely from another planet. I used to cringe watching The View and hearing Elizabeth Hasselback defending Bush Jr.--the man who selfishly and successfully pulled off everything that we are dealing with today --beginning with the unnecessary war in Iraq, Blackwater, Wall Street, the Supreme Court appointees which led to "Corporations are a people," the price of oil (the Bush family owns Exxon and his entire Administration are owners of oil companies), reducing taxes on the rich, starting with a surplus and leaving us with a huge debt, finalizing de-regulation thus enabling corporations to: lower wages, reduce/eliminate employee benefits, overwork their employees by cutting back staff, thus forcing employees to do the job of 2, 3 or even 4 people, by his lack of diplomacy and immature stance causing our country to become HATED by nations all over the world, etc., etc., etc., etc., etc., etc. Can anybody still be in denial after all that has happened--specifically due to the actions taken during those 8 years of terror?
It's about as much truth
as the average newscast and the spin you can't miss. Likewise you can't miss the truth.
Obama
This group is about CIVILITY. We can say what we want about Rush Limbaugh and the many others who don't have a clue what they are talking about....but why not say it without name-calling....otherwise we fall right into their category. One of the main reasons why I adore Obama, in addition to his intelligence, problem solving skills, and dedication to his Country, is his extraordinary gift for diplomacy, his willingness to keep the people informed every step of the way, and his maturity in being able to admit when he is wrong or makes a mistake (that's what "true" grown ups do!). President Obama, if you're reading this, I LOVE YOU! and thank you for all that you are doing. We are privileged to have you as our president and I have no doubt that--given the space in which to do your job--you will be the greatest president since FDR.
Yes indeed - and the
Yes indeed - and the President does require the space to accomplish what he has laid out for the nation - but how do we arrive at that space? You've seen how long and how hard it was to pass healthcare reform, in all of the bickering no doubt valuable pieces of that legislation have been lost, exchanged for pieces that do little or nothing to improve the overall situation and will require time to correct -
In light of such evidence it is difficult to identify that space so necessary - how is it to be provided in light of current reality without some degree of pressure -
indeed, some FORCING FUNCTION, something that leaves the political opposition with no alternatives what so ever.
Civility is good, it is proper, within the confines of public debate, and yet it hardly exists. It seems to me that it is unlikely we will see its return without a close examination of the alternatives by all of those who find these current methods useful
and I have no doubt that you will find few of them here . . .

I can't understand . . .
That's right, I can't understand . . . nitwits . . . nimrods . . . or nabobs . . . who complain about this Coffee Féte - who started it, for what purpose - nonsense! We all know this nation is facing significant problems. Of that, there is no question. And we know, too, just who it is that is getting it done in D.C. Of that, too, there is no question.
But is it for our Common Good? Now there's a question I can get my mind around - the best part is that it's not only pertinent, but quickly answered definitively with but scant review of the facts.
Take, for example, our War on Terror. Controversy has swirled over policy decisions on that issue for some time over procedural matters, both here and abroad. Will we close Gitmo? Will we have civilian - or military - trials of international criminals? Will we call them terrorists? or enemy combatants? Will we simply bomb our enemies into oblivion, even when they fight with asymmetrical tactical warfare and hide among civilian populations?
The answers are simple, straightforward, self evident, and completely devoid of controversy to any thinking person given to sound reason and prudence. Consider the answers themselves:
Yes.
Civilian, of course.
Terrorists.
No.
These answers are indeed simple. They are the very essence of Elegant Simplicity. And for those of you tempted to introduce controversy where no controversy may exist, let me point out that during World War Two the United States did institute interment camps. It is accepted that such practice was a mistake, an over reaction on the part of government to a perceived threat that did not in fact exist.
As for the last question, it has been known for over two thousand years that the suffering of a civilian population in close proximity to a war zone is an incentive to resistance.
Plain. Simple. Straightforward. Reason and Prudence. These are the yardstick that whereby it is seen: Yes, the policies of this President are in our interest.
It is indeed, plainly evident, just whom is getting it done in D.C.
It is WE who are getting it done in D.C.
YES WE CAN and yes we are.
There are those whose interests do run contrary to the public good. These rough necks have for decades run rough shod over this nation and it's public, instituting policy that is neither reasoned, prudent, or just. They have, with clever linguistic slight of hand, attempted to instill in us false ideas and beliefs - with nothing more than language as their tool they would convince us that criminals are something other than criminal, that they are in fact much much worse. In their attempt to sanitize our minds and institute torture as a matter of policy they come armed with terms equally sanitary: enemy combatants.
ENEMY COMBATANTS.
Those who would spill a single drop of innocent blood for the purpose of punishment and to instill fear are terrorists. They are our enemy. But they are NOT warriors. They are COWARDS. We will not change who we are nor what we believe, nor will we undermine our principles as a nation, in a state of agitation and fear.
YES WE CAN and yes we are.
Those whose interests do run contrary to the pubic good have, no doubt, taken notice of our, our success. We have it in our hands, today, to bring those interests to heel. We have it in our hands, through a President whom we elected to office.
Let all the world take note: YES WE CAN!
For all of you inclined to dismiss this missive as nothing more than the product of a mind bent and twisted - deformed by the constant prospect of twin and diametrically opposed views of reality, let me reassure you: Yes. Thanks to the migration of military technology to the private sector, I have indeed, stared for far, far too long into the abyss . . .

Your Lecture is Off
Way off.
Not everyone, including me, agrees with you, so please don't ramble about these "simple" answers to National Security problems.
Gitmo: It's a detention camp, the controversy has nothing to do with its location. Can't we just stop the unnecessary torture that made it a hotbed of controversy in the first place?
Trials: You say terrorists should get a civilian trial "of course". Why is this? They are enemy combatants, intent on destroying American infrastructure and monuments and killing as many citizens as possible. That is enemy action and should be treated as such.
Terrorist vs Enemy Combatant: Aren't they both? They are enemy combatants who use terrorists methods to attack America and other countries around the world.
Bombing in Population Centers: Common sense is the answer. Like any war, there will be civilian casualties; that is expected. What the US military can do to minimize the casualties must be done, but remember, we are at war.
Y E A H
Gitmo - was a method of circumventing THE RULE OF LAW
quite successful too, and it helped change peoples perceptions in the process. You wanna talk torture? Torture would NEVER HAVE BEEN IMPLEMENTED AS POLICY WERE IT NOT FOR ACTS OF TORTURE ON U.S. CITIZENS ON U.S. SOIL.
I could show you how it's done, it isn't hard. With access to your personal data, which I don't have and do not want - but with it, and some volunteers I could make you do most anything . . .
Rather than waste time on a lengthy discussion of the methodology, you could just read my short story:
Enemy Combatants v Terrorists
Convenient sloganeering - designed to sanitize the entire language and thinking around the issue. Successful too. And it embodies the suggestion of war, while it attempts to skirt the various INTERNATIONAL CONVENTIONS regarding prisoners of war.
Timothy McViegh was intent on destroying infrastructure - he an enemy combatant in your view? There is no excuse.
NO EXCUSE.
Red necks, towel heads - makes no difference to me. Mass Murders are mass murderers, and they should hang. I have no doubt a civilian trial will see to that with no trouble what so ever.
And it isn't enemy action - it's COWARDICE. The leadership brainwashes fools into acts of suicide and murder.
CIVILIAN CASUALTIES
Yeah-ya. We have a habit of having accidents. When we were in the Balkans [Clinton Admin] we inadvertently dropped a bomb on the Chinese Embassy. We did . . .
Were it up to me I would simply have placed fins and a guidance chip on a 500 lb hunk of concrete, and dropped THAT on that antenna the Chinese WEREN'T letting the Serbs use to communicate with their genocidal jack boots in the field - and I would have invited the Chinese Ambassador to the W.H. one hour early, where he could wait until ten minutes after the fact - when he could receive our most sincere and deepest apologies . . .
and THAT would have OBVIATED the need of bombing any hospital . . .
yes we are at war - and there are certain principles about the conduct of warfare that are just as true today as they were true 2500 years ago. The President has made what appears to me to be the very best choice from among a very bad situation.
We can't really leave, can we. No we can't. And that is very unfortunate, BECAUSE WE'VE BEEN THERE TOO LONG ALREADY.
nitwit
response...
Gitmo
Yes, it was. And that should be stopped. Guantanamo bay is an American Territory and should thus be subject to the stipulations of the Geneva Convention. That doesn't mean the facility itself is at fault.
Terrorist vs. Enemy Combatant
If said terrorist can be identified as a member or associate of a para-military terrorist organization such as Al-Qaeda then yes they should be treated as an enemy combatant. End of story.
Civilian Casualties
Like or not, they are a reality that must be faced. The examples you have dredged up thinking they might disprove my argument are tragedies, I agree. But that doesn't make the fact of the matter any less true. And whether you like it or not won't impact the situation on the ground.
Also, attacking my person degrades your argument. If you want others to respect you and your opinions, don't insult them.
Gitmo the facility itself is
Let me guess. You, sir, are a military officer. Correct? It is just a guess, I could perhaps be wrong, yet I think it unlikely. Let me tell you why. Note the design, the construct of the post above, Jake - 2010-04-01 21:30. The paragraphs - similar size and weight, neat, as if they had creases. Note also in your post just previous to that, Jake - 2010-04-01 20:50; where you said: "Gitmo: It's a detention camp".
Who else but an officer would refer to Gitmo as a detention camp? It is a military installation, a base, isn't it? So, an officer. One with an agenda. I would also note your comment Jake - 2010-03-21 14:26 here where you stated: "This is not the place for Conspiracy Theories" in reference to questions posed by someone named "art" - and again, Jake - 2010-03-22 19:30 here where you said: "If you want facts, search the internet, your libraries; don't spam these forums."
Terse, authoritative, commanding, short posts. You are used to authority, used to serving it, used to commanding it.
But like I said, it is just a guess. I could be wrong. I just find it - unlikely. And before any of your trolls pipes up with wild assertions that obviously I hate the military, let me assure you - that is not so. What I hate are men who put on the uniform knowing full well they ride on the coat tails - and never measure up - of such brave men as Lt. Gen. Harold Moore, and those men who served under him in the 7th Cav. There was an officer, and a gentleman.
No sir, I never did serve. But I will not forget their sacrifice.
Nor will I forget that it is men like you who would sell us war without end.
So here you are, with your education, your careful sanitation of the language, seeking the appearance of compromise, an appearance of reaching for the center, when it is obviously not the case. The President has staked the center quite clearly for us, what you have marked is something else.
I note too, the New York Times recently reported the Pentagon was involved in producing public sales pitches. And so I presume these posts of yours may represent just another advertising campaign. Is it appropriate that the Pentagon infiltrate political organizations for such purpose? I think not. I think rather it is the responsibility of the Pentagon to follow orders, and submit to civilian leadership and oversight. That is my opinion.
But I do have a final question:
Does the boss know? That you said the President was spineless.
Just curious.
Gitmo
the facility itself is not now credible. It's continued use as a facility of preference for terrorists implies they are soldiers. THAT They are not.
Terrorist vs. Enemy Combatant
end of story . . . so obviously those nine U.S. citizens arrested in the Michigan area - belonging to a para-military organization BELONG IN GITMO
What is there about the fallacy of your argument that you just don't get?
Civilian Casualties
Tragedies . . . bombing a hospital and the Chinese Embassy - on the same day - tragedies . . .
and if ya keep it up I'm gonna call ya a nitwit again.
Officer?
You couldn't be farther off. I'm a high school kid who stumbled upon the Coffee Party through happenstance. Though I am honored that I sound like a military officer to you ;)

Gitmo I suppose you're right. And moving the facility could provide unemployed Americans with jobs which is a definite plus. I was just making the point that it was the events surround the facility not the facility it self which is at fault.
Terrorist vs. Enemy Combatant Did I say that? And see my above response on Gitmo. Please explain to me in plain English the fallacy of logic in my argument, because I obviously don't understand.
Civilian Casualties Of course they are tragedies. If you have any evidence that they were "engineered" please direct me to it.
And keep it up, I'm starting to enjoy it.
I understand well your
I understand well your reluctance to any consideration that any kind of accidental engineering might have taken place . . . bombing a hospital . . . .
so let me share just a little, something I've posted elsewhere in response to someone else on this topic:
O THE HORROR - THE HORROR . . .
DON'T YOU SEE, THAT IF IT IS SIMPLY A DEMONSTRATION OF WILL THAT YOU SEEK THEN A DEGREE OF HONESTY IS COMPLETELY BEST. WE NEED NOT REVEL IN SUCH CRUELTY AS IF ITWERE FETISH . . .
WHAT ARE INTERNATIONAL AGREEMENTS AFTER ALL - OR THE DIPLOMATS WHO PURSUE THEM AND THE OFFICES THEY WORK OUT OF - NOTHING REALLY. NOTHING BUT PAPER, PEOPLE, AND CONCRETE.
ALL OF WHICH BECOMES MEANINGLESS IN THE FACE OF GENOCIDE.
that's not so hard to grasp, is it, . . .?
Proof
You still haven't proved anything. I have never heard of the incident you are referring to, so you could very well be right. Then again, you could be wrong. I can't make an informed decision until i hear from several more sources. Maybe I will do some internet searching later, maybe not.
Could be? Of course I could
Could be? Of course I could be . . . the only problem is that I am not. It is a very unfortunate thing that.
No one has yet to suggest that one of the ways I could be wrong is that there could have been an antenna on the hospital as well. I presume the reason no one has suggested it is in part simply because it would do little to undermine my basic premise, which is that ACCIDENTAL ENGINEERING as a field of endeavor is a crime and an inappropriate method of . . .
doing business . . .
