Congress and the White House deserve credit for pushing back against one of the most powerful lobbies our nation has ever faced. But we also wanted to send a big thank you to Coffee Party members across the country who wrote letters, made calls, and visited in person the offices of Senators and Representatives in Washington and in their home districts. We hand-delivered thousands of letters to Members of Congress, and our voices were heard.
We are grateful for and wish to acknowledge the leadership of Americans for Financial Reform in pushing for this reform. We go forward knowing that this is an important step toward fixing the problems in our economic system.
