In 38 days, Coffee Party USA took the political pulse of more than 10,000 Americans using a patented social media tool called The Sphere. In this video, Phil Lawson, creator of the program presents the surprising results. As Phil explains, t
he Sphere helps people get on the same page and facilitates civil dialogue so we can collaborate in a fact-based and solutions-oriented way. This presentation was the lead-in to a panel discussion called "Ending Partisan Warfare in America."The results yielded four primary findings:
- Americans are not as far apart ideologically as we've been led to believe
- American believe there needs to be change in the political system, but that politicians lack the will to make that change
- The Sphere shows that Americans believe that they need to be more involved in the political process
- Despite differences on the major issues between liberals and conservatives, the Sphere shows many similarities.
